CFFL Q & A WITH THE COACHES - 01/15/2007

Our first coach to be interviewed is Ryan Jones, head coach of Pete Rose Sure Bet.

Q: What do you think about your team's first indoor game?
Ryan Jones : The game is alot faster than I expected. The competition looks good and I look forward to playing this week.

Q: What leagues have you recently played in?
RJ : CRC on Saturday's and the CSL for the past five+ years.

Q: Who on your team impressed you the most?
RJ : I had 3 or 4 guys that played alot better than I've seen in the past. But probably Chris Knight because he doesn't have alot of football experience. And Chris Kent hasn't played football in 2+ years and he stepped in and made a big impact.

Q: What do you guys have to improve on before your game next week vs the Kings Comets?
RJ : Picking up the blitz on offense and forcing teams into 3rd and long on defense. Making them uncomfortable more often on defense.

Q: What are your early impressions of the CFFL?
RJ : Honestly, this is by far the most organized league that we've been apart of. The refs are on top of it. They actually pay attention to the game and the simple stuff. The refs kept calling out the play clock. In other leagues this is often overlooked and teams get almost 40 to 50 seconds between plays. In other leagues I've played in there was a team that came up to us and let us know that they didn't have to pay their league fees. That isn't the case here. The overall organization from the team and league standpoint seems to be real good. Teams are uniformed with jerseys and everything.
