The interviews were conducted October 19th with Chris Finn coach of the Outlaws and Agunanda (pronounced Agonda) Brookins coach of the Vikings.


Who will finish the regular season 1st, 2nd & 3rd?
Chris Finn: Falcons, Patriots and Sea Dogs
Agunanda Brookins: Vikings, Patriots and Falcons

Coming into this week your team had one of the worst records in the D division, what will it take to get things turned around?
CF: new and more experienced players

How many players away are you from being at least a .500 ball team?
CF: three or four

ARS is short for Automobile Recovery Service, it’s a repossession outfit, and how did they become your sponsor?
CF: It’s my dad’s company.

You contacted the league office about the mercy rule, what would want reviewed at the end of the year about the current rule?
CF: If the team that is trailing is within the 20-yard line with the chance to score they should be able to complete their drive before the game is stopped.

How many seasons has your team played flag?
CF: 1st season
AB: 1st season

Out of the teams you’ve seen which team has assembled the most talent?
CF: Falcons
AB: We have…the Vikings

Who will win the collegiate national championship?
CF: Miami Hurricanes
AB: Miami Hurricanes

The CFFL all-star game is on November 23rd, at this time what two players would you like to see represent your team?
CF: Mike Addis & Myself
AB: Johnny Mattress & Myself

The playoffs are a new season and everyone will be 0-0, do you think you can put the pieces together and make a run at the city title?
CF: Yep.
AB: Yes…definitely…yes.

What is the story about your team name?
Mike Addis (asst coach): no story really…we’re not Outlaws, it’s just a name that stuck.
AB: Princeton is where we played our high school ball at…while we were there we were ranked 4th in the nation, 6th in the nation, 8th in the nation, and now we’re about to start a new tradition in this flag football.

How many players away are you from being undefeated?
AB: none…we have the players now.

What position player would you hate to lose?
CF: our quarterback Jason
AB: QB Johnny Mattress

Your QB has the strongest arm in the league, he was all-state QB in high school, and he won a junior college national championship. There is no doubt in his ability but does he have what it takes to lead this team to a D division city title?
AB: Next question…he has what it takes to win the A title.

Over half of your squad played college ball, you yourself won two national championships in 1995 & 1997 at the University of Findlay, why at one point in the season were you 3-2?
AB: We didn’t really know what everybody’s role would be. Our nucleus wasn’t showing up…we were lacking some key players. Really, it was because our nucleus wasn’t in place.
