CFFL Q & A WITH THE COACHES - 09/21/2002

Our subjects this week are coaches in the D divsion: Scott Meisenbach of the Patriots, and Keith Chambers of the Falcons.
At the time of these interviews, both teams are undefeated at 3 - 0, and are in a heated battle for the league championship.

The interviews were conducted by our League Director and resident CFFL beat writer, Chris Gillam. Take it away, Chris!

Q: What do you think of your team's performance thus far?
Scott M.: Defense good and Offense good
Keith C.: It has been A1. We haven't been scored on, its about keeping guys out of the end zone.

Q. How much experience does your team have playing with each other?
SM: 2nd season for core, but we have 14 new players
KC: Four guys have played together everyone else is new

Q. What are the reasons your team is undefeated?
SM: Defense

Q. How many players are on your roster?
SM: 16
KC: 26

Q. Out of all of the D division teams you've seen play, who do you think will be among the top four at the end of the season?
SM: Patriots, Falcons, Vikings and Giants
KC: Falcons, Giants, Vikings and Bulldogs

Q. How many players did you pick up from the free agent list?
SM: four
KC: nine. I picked up guys from Kroger, the gas station and the club as well...where ever I could find them.

Q. What are your thoughts about the CFFL officiating?
SM: Good. I think they keep guys in line.
KC: It has gotten better but there is still room for improvement. I understand its some first year refs out there.

Q. What are three things you like about the league?
SM: My guys love the pylons and the cleat cleaner this week was great because of the rain and mud. The third would be the website.
KC: The league works its problems out as they come...the free agent list...and its location is convenient for my guys.
